Bhoomi Puja

Bhoomi Puja was performed on 8th February 2020 by Pushpagiri Peetadhipathi Sri Sri Sri Vidya Shankar Bharathi in the august presence of Quthbullapur MLA, Sri Vivekanand and large number of devotees of Amma.

Shanku Sthapana Mahostavam

Shanku Sthapana of Om Sri Chowdeshwari Matha Temple on 1st January 2021 at 10:25 AM by Pushpagiri Peetadhipathi Sri Sri Sri Vidya Shankar Bharathi, Sri Vivekananda, MLA, Quthbullapur and large number of devotees of Amma.

Saree & Groceries Distribution

The offerings to Mathaji from devotees like sarees, groceries etc., are distributed to various non-profit organizations such as orphanages, rehabilitation centers, old age homes, blind schools and centers for the mentally and physically disabled.

Palki Seva

Mathaji’s Palki Seva is carried out from H.No: 1-6-188 and 189, Kandoji Bazar, Secunderabad to Kamakshiamma Temple at Kalasiguda, Secunderabad. After performing the pooja, the devotees are offered Anna Prasadam at the Temple. Large number of devotees participate in the Palki Seva.

Mass Feeding

The practice of feeding meals to large number of devotees in temples is the most prominent feature in most Hindu temples, while large temples serves on daily basis and other temples serves on festivals, or religious gatherings in the form of Prasaadham to the devotees. It is normally consumed by worshippers after worship. Mahaprasada (also called Bhandara) in Hinduism, is the consecrated food offered to the deity in the temple which is then shared and eaten by the masses without discrimination.

At Om Sri Chowdeshwari Matha Temple serving food occupies an important place among the several services that ought to be rendered to the devotees during mega events such as Navarathri Utsav, Rath Utsav, Palki Seva and other festivals.

Navarathri Utsav

The Navaratri Utsav is the most celebrated one among all the festivals in India. Navaratri means the nine nights, during these auspicious nine nights the Jaganmaata is worshipped, who killed the cruel demons. Navratri is the joyous celebration of the victory of good over evil. It invites the divinity in all its splendor in our hearts by following the rich traditions during the festival.
The nine forms of Mother Divine are honored and worshiped on these nine days at Om Sri Chowdeshwari Matha Temple. Large number of Devotees gather to experience the Vedic poojas, series of yagnas and homas to nullify the collective negativity in the environment, providing solace and bringing peace throughout the world.

Rath Utsav

Rath Utsav (chariot festival) is celebrated to mark the journey; the journey of Goddess on a chariot with religious fervor and enthusiasm. The chariot is decorated with flowers and lights and Goddess is taken out in a procession outside the temple with a huge fanfare of drums and cymbals. A blend of religious zeal and passion convert the streets and by lanes into a vibrant atmosphere filled with gaiety. Huge Rangoli (floor paintings) are drawn along the path of the procession and fireworks add to the festivities. Several devotees flock to participate in this event.
